Community and Economic Development

Overview

The Community and Economic Development Division houses some of the oldest and most popular programs in ADECA.

These programs enhance the quality of life throughout the state by addressing a variety of needs in Alabama’s communities and their residents by providing assistance for infrastructure improvements, parks and playgrounds, economic development, workforce readiness, and homelessness prevention.

The Division also responds to special situations such as disasters, COVID, or financial crisis.
