On Feb. 27, 2024, ADECA joined Governor Kay Ivey and other leaders at the State Capitol to announce grants from Capital Projects Fund grant program. The grants, totaling $148.3 million, were awarded for 66 projects that will provide almost 54,000 households, businesses and community institutions with access to high-speed internet.
ADECA administered two Recreational Trails Program grants to help make improvements at Weathington Park, located in the town of Section, AL.

The grants, totaling $188.4 million, were awarded to 12 internet service providers to install more than 4,000 miles of “middle-mile” projects throughout Alabama.
