Affordable Connectivity Program

Alabama Digital Expansion Division encourages Alabamans to apply for the new Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). The ACP provides a temporary discount of up to $30 per month towards broadband service for eligible households (up to $75 per month if living on tribal land). The ACP is limited to one discounted monthly service plan per household. To see if your household may qualify for the program or for more information related to the ACP, please visit the program’s site at https://getinternet.gov/apply?ln=RW5nbGlzaA%3D%3D.

There are three ways to enroll in ACP:

1. Call an Internet Service Provider

Peruse the list of internet service providers in Alabama at https://cnm.universalservice.org and contact a provider directly to get set up with the ACP program. Your current internet service provider may be set up with the program already—contact them to let them know you would like to opt into the ACP.

2. Enroll Online

Visit https://getinternet.gov/apply?ln=RW5nbGlzaA%3D%3D to complete an application online. Once complete, be sure to keep records of your Application ID and confirmation numbers and any login information.

3. Enroll by Mail

Request an application by mail at https://getinternet.gov/apply?ln=RW5nbGlzaA%3D%3D or by calling 877-384-2575.

As part of the enrollment process, you may be required to provide documentation of your eligibility to receive ACP benefits. A list of acceptable documentation by eligibility criteria can be found at https://www.affordableconnectivity.gov/help/tools/#instructions.
