This blog is intended to provide local floodplain administrators with information and resources that are pertinent to their duties for maintaining compliant floodplain development and local programs. There will also be current NFIP/FEMA program updates for NFIP flood insurance, flood hazard mitigation, and floodplain mapping. The material for each blog is based on information received by the Alabama State NFIP Coordinator from FEMA or other agencies working in conjunction with FEMA programs.
