Update: New location for Alabama Rural Health Transformation roadshow workshop in Montgomery Thursday morning, May 28

MONTGOMERY – Due to popular demand and a high number of registrations, the Alabama Rural Health Transformation roadshow workshop in Montgomery is moving to a new location with more seating capacity. The workshop’s new location is the auditorium in Gordon Persons Building in downtown Montgomery.

The Montgomery workshop will still begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning, and preregistration is required. The address is 50 N. Ripley Street, Montgomery, AL. Due to construction, attendees are advised to enter the building at Monroe Steet and North Jackson Street. Upon entering the building, travel straight ahead down a long hallway until you enter the rotunda; take the elevator to the plaza level and follow the signs to the auditorium.

All other remaining workshops for this week will be held in the originally scheduled locations. The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs is hosting the workshops across Alabama this week for interested parties to learn more about the new Alabama Rural Health Transformation Program. Alabama has secured $203 million for the first year of the program through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The national Rural Health Transformation Program is funded as part of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. These roadshow workshops provide an overview of the program and its 11 initiatives.
