Information Services

Application of Information technology is the responsibility of ADECA’s Information Services Section. The section is divided into four units composed of technical staff with specialized skills related to the unit’s area of responsibility and expertise.

The Information Technology Support unit provides hardware and software support for network resources, personal computers, peripherals, and both voice and data telecommunications devices. They also provide Web development support and coordinate technical training resources.

The Software Applications Development unit applies data flow analysis to design and develop custom application software and databases on various platforms. In addition, they provide training on the use of the custom applications they develop.

The Computer Operations Support unit configures and monitors the agency’s mid-range computer systems and associated peripherals as well as provide support of the tele-communications interlink between agency computers and the state’s mainframe.

The Geographic Information Systems Development unit provides GIS map services and products for a wide range of intelligent mapping projects. This includes the design, development and implementation of GIS programs.
