Act# 2009-722 - Investment Tax Credit for Energy Efficient Measures
The act extends the capital credit expansion program to 30 years, includes new or expanding corporate headquarters, data processing centers, research and development facilities, and producers or power and gas from biomass, biofuel, and alternate and renewable energy sources as categories of industry eligible for existing tax incentives.

Federal Energy Tax Credits Available
Alabama residents can qualify through December 31, 2010 to receive a tax credit for making certain energy efficiency improvements to your existing home. You can now receive a tax credit equal to 30% of the cost of the product up to a total of $1,500. For renewable systems the tax credit is equal to 30% of the cost with no upper limit. Alternative Fuel Vehicle Tax Credits
Qualifying alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) purchased or placed into service between January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2010 may be eligible for a federal income tax credit of up to $4,000.
